Woke with a bad head, two Slovenian motorcyclists, Egor and his friend invited us to have a drink with them. They bought a beer we returned the hospitality and on it goes.
Today we are heading through Slovakia towards Hungary, we plan to camp in Slovakia as their currency is Euros and we don’t have any Hungarian Forint.
We ran into a very heavy thunderstorm almost immediately we left Auschwitz, this combined with the road works and congested traffic made for an uncomfortable couple of hours. On the bright side the wet weather gear held up well.
A bright spell was soon interrupted by more heavy rain, the roads were fantastic, even better if they had been dry.
The sat nav told me I was 4 miles from a campsite, on the way to it was a Tesco, dinner sorted. The camp site was close, so we headed South and before we knew it we were in Hungary.
Eventually found a camp site at Ozd, it was easier to get out of Colditz than into the campsite. The steel gate was eventually opened and we were greeted by lots of well manicured grass and one other tent. With myself and Alastair that made 3 tents in total.
We couldn’t decide if the barbed wire and steel gate was to keep us in or others out, I ventured to the bar next door for a couple of takeaways to go with the Tesco offering and stayed at the tent.
