Sibiu, Romania has two main squares surrounded by impressive buildings with pavement cafes and restaurants, all in all it is a beautiful city to rival any other in Europe. We ate last night at a restaurant in the smaller square of the two for much less than you would expect to pay in other European cities.
Up early this morning to head into the mountains that lay to the South of the city, fantastic scenery with the added bonus of an unpaved section. The unpaved section was relatively easy on road tyres, until we got to a part that the stream, which ran adjacent to the track had decided to occupy. We got lost and somehow did a loop and finished back where we started, who cares it was good fun.
Took our time on the unpaved sections, despite leaving some luggage at the accommodation the bikes were heavily ladened, we are a long way from home and help if things go bad.
All in all a great ride, back to Sibiu for beer and food and a look around the cathedral. with the impressive roof.
