At last, a sunny day.
Most of this morning was a dirt road that was well compacted with some loose gravel on the surface. This made for an easy journey until the last 10 miles. In these few miles, the road was covered with thick gravel with very narrow tyre tracks to steer the bike down. Added to this the infamous Patagonian wind increased so that it was nearly impossible to keep the bike online.
On one earth section, we came across 4 adventure bikes and one tent. The story was that the bikes had become stuck in the mud as a result of yesterday rain. The police patrol the road in bad weather and take 3 of the rider’s into town for the night, the fourth rider had opted to stay in his tent. The tent was wrecked when we arrived.
