New Zealand, Christchurch to Geraldine – 200 miles

I have visited New Zealand a number of times. This is my first time on a bike and it marks another milestone in my motorcycle adventures. I have now ridden a bike in 6 of the worlds 7 continents, the only one missing is Antarctica. I suspect Antarctica will never be added to my bike travel list.

After picking the bike up at Christchurch I rode along the Banks Peninsular to the town of Akaroa. The heavy traffic and twisty road made for a slow ride.

After I left the Peninsular I took the scenic inland route to the quiet town of Geraldine. A meal and 3 pints of cider ensured a good night’s sleep after a very hot days riding.
