My next adventure begins! This trip starts in Halifax NS Canada and probably ends at some point in Vancouver, I have to be back at the end of August for a wedding, up the that point my long suffering wife has given me a free pass, bless her. From Halifax I am heading North East to St John’s, then West across Canada, up into the Yukon and across to Alaska. Plans are a bit sketchy after riding the worlds “loneliest road” The Trans Labrador Highway, which is good by me, I don’t want my plans laid out, lets see what happens.
Let’s look at what’s happened so far.
I delivered my bike to Moto Freight at Feltham on Thursday 6 June, the bike tracker tells me it now sits in an Air Canada cargo depot in Montreal. A lorry is planned to deliver it to Halifax so I can pick it up there on Thursday 20 June.
I knew the flight number for the plane that was carrying my bike across the Atlantic, I could also see the tracker on the bike. The bike moved across Heathrow Airport, the aircraft took, this was the point I became a little nervous and uncertain of what was happening. The plane was making its way across the Atlantic to Montreal and according to the bike tracker it was still sat at Heathrow. I hoped this was as simple as the tracker signal trapped inside the aircraft along with my bike unable to tell me, “it’s all okay” I am on the aircraft, don’t worry. Several hours later the tracker showed me the location of the bike in Montreal, all good I can relax.
Today I am heading to Gatwick for a flight to Halifax tomorrow morning.
Crated and ready to go
