It was a warm dry night for a change. Just as I got out of the tent a heavy rain shower passed over, if only it could have held off for 30 more minutes.
I set the Sat Nav to avoid toll roads and was treated to some fantastic country roads with virtually no traffic, in a quiet area I found a forest fire track and had some fun off the tarmac for a short while.
I didn’t expect it to take so long to find a campsite. Eventually I found an excellent one at Séraucourt-le-Grand. The campsite was good value at 12 Euros, it had clean facilities and a small shack that sold a selection of well priced meals.
The ferry is booked for Tuesday morning, I have booked a hotel in St Omer for tomorrow night so I don’t have to pack all the camping gear away before I dash for the ferry.
This will be my last night in a tent for this trip.
