It rained most of the night, its warm and dry in the tent so that’s not the problem, its packing it up in the rain I don’t like. There is a McDonalds a mile from the campsite, free Wifi and hot coffee.
It rained until after lunch, I am pleased to say all my wet gear performed well, pity the panniers didn’t. Austria has some marvelous scenery, which I couldn’t see for rain and low cloud. The roads were busy, combined with the rain this made progress very slow.
I was convinced there would be no camping at the end of the day, the tent was packed away very wet and it wouldn’t dry enough to sleep in, Just shows you, the sun came out and I found a very quiet camp site at the side of the lake at Titisee. A great spot to relax and dry out the tent.
Walked into the town for a cold beer, something else I didn’t think I would look forwards too when I was in all that rain earlier.
