We left Motocamp, Bulgaria yesterday and headed in the direction of Greece . This took us back over the Troyan pass in the opposite direction that we had travelled along it on the previous day, the photo’s are of the monument erected at the top of the pass that is dedicated to the memory of those who died fighting for the liberation of Bulgaria.
The road then took us over another pass that is between Batak and Dospat that rose close to 1700 metres.
This was a fabulous days riding with a clear blue sky in glorious sunshine, the roads were quiet with very little traffic and had the mixture of bends and fast straights that can only be enjoyed on 2 wheels.
With all this excitement of motorcycle heaven we arrived at Dospat and found hotel Panoramic, this is the view from the room balcony, all for £11.48 a night. The restaurant was equally good value with a plentiful supply of cold beer.
